Rotaract Club of Bangalore’s 51st
Installation Ceremony – GENESIS -Beginning of a New Era, was held at the Rotary
House of Friendship with excitement running high among the BODs, New Members
and especially. President Rtr.Joseph Wilson.
The program began to the sweet notes of Rtr.Naren and Rtr.Namrata the hosts for the ceremony who rendered the Welcome Note. Following this the dignitaries, our Parent Rotary Club of Bangalore Sergeant- At -Arms ,Rtn. Dr.Gertrude D’souza, District Youth Service Director,Rtn.Prakash Belavady, District Rotaract Committee Chairman ,Rtn.John Bruno, Rotary Club of Bangalore Youth Services Director, Rtn.Shailesh Shah, District Rotaract Representative, Rtr.Shashi Kumar,and our chief Guest for the evening Mr.Prakash Belawadi, along with our President,Rtr.Joseph Wilson and Secretary,Rtr.Abhijit Raghunathan, lit a lamp to mark the beginning of the glorious journey of the new team and also watered a plant sapling for a green start.
The outgoing Secretary, Rtr.Joseph Wilson
thanked his team for the wonderful year and gave an audio-visual presentation
on the list of projects completed in 2018-19.
Rtr.Joseph Wilson was installed as the President of the Rotaract Club of Bangalore for the 2019-20 by Rtn.Dr.Gertrude D’souza.
Rtr.Joseph’s acceptance speech, revealed the Theme Logo “Aspire to Inspire”, and the Projects for the Year. He introduced his Board of Directors who were Installed by all the dignitaries. The new Members were inducted by the District Rotaract Representative, Rtr.Shashi Kumar
Rtn.Solomon Paramel was installed as the
Our Chief Guest for the day, Mr Prakash Belawadi is a writer, director, teacher for the stage,
television and cinema, as well as a
journalist, environmental activist, and a veteran theatre artist. He is an intense Actor and a National Film
Awardee. It was a privilege for us to
hear Mr.Prakash Belawadi‘s inspiring
speech and we were honoured to have him at our installation ceremony as
the Chief Guest.
We had a special video presentation of
different celebrities congratulating and wishing RCB for completing 50 Glorious
Years. Later, our Past Presidents of the
Rotaract Club of Bangalore cut a cake to celebrate our 51st Charter Day.

We specially thank Rtn.Meera Bai Shankar
for donating a sum of Rs.2,000/- and Mr.Sham Sundar from Indian Red Cross
society a sum of Rs.5,000/- towards our Club’s projects. We also presented
mementoes to our dignitaries and guests
as a token of love from RCB. The
evening ended with us posing for group photographs, after which
we broke for fun and fellowship.
